At Home with Diversity

The At Home With Diversity® course will prepare you to work effectively with – and – within today’s increasingly diverse pool of homebuyers. Real estate professionals who adapt to increasing cultural diversity in the market and who wisely plan to meet the needs of diverse clients gain a competitive edge and are able to expand opportunities. Cost: Free to members; $50 for non-members (note: there is a one-time $75 fee payable to NAR if you would like to earn the official AHWD certification)

Financing Dreams

Learn how to help your first-time homebuyers realize their dreams. The “Financing Dreams” course provides in depth coverage of NCHFA’s programs, including property and buyer eligibility, the loan process and how LOTSAR and NCHFA can help YOU help YOUR customers buy their first home. Registrations must be received no later than November 12, 2019. Price for admission is $30 for members and $50 for non-members. Members may register on the LOTSAR site. Financing Dreams IN-PERSON

This course will give you a strong knowledge and familiarity with the most current financing options available in the marketplace, as well as down payment options to help home buyers. You’ll also learn about the most recent changes in the mortgage industry affecting your customer’s ability to get approved and the latest changes to the closing process.

This is a required course for the Workforce Housing Specialist Certification Program and the Graduate REALTOR Institute.

Instructor: Jane Cavanagh

Although originally from Wilmington, NC, Jane began her career in real estate as a Realtor in Denver, Colorado.  After returning to North Carolina she became a mortgage loan officer in the Beaufort-Pitt County area. She worked in that capacity for 25 years until she joined NC Housing as the Training and Outreach Coordinator in January of 2014.
